Dear Parents/carers,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you about important changes to the school day schedule for our 6th form learners starting in September.

Due to recent modifications in travel assistance policies by Birmingham City Council, we believe that the vast majority of parents will be required to transport their children to and from school. In light of this, we have made the challenging decision to adjust the timings of the school day to ensure the safety and convenience of all learners.

New School Day Timings for 6th Form Learners:

• Start Time: 9:30 AM
• End Time: 2:00 PM
• Latest Pick-Up Time: 2:30 PM

These new timings have been carefully considered to allow 6th form learners to enter and exit the school premises safely, without overlap with other transport vehicles. This means that in the morning, our school transport vehicles will have departed before your arrival, and in the afternoon, you will have left before they return at 2:30 PM to collect other learners.

Please note that there will be no flexibility in these timings. We are unable to accommodate drop-offs before 9:30 AM or pick-ups after 2:30 PM. Additionally, staff will not be available to supervise learners who arrive earlier or are collected later than the specified times.

We understand that these changes may require adjustments to your schedules and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth transition. Our primary goal is to maintain a safe and organised environment for all learners.
