Calthorpe Academy is proudly working towards our Artsmark journey, reinforcing our dedication to providing rich, creative opportunities for our learners. Our work aligns with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), particularly Article 31, which ensures every child's right to participate in cultural and artistic activities, and Article 29, which supports the development of each child's talents and abilities to their fullest potential. 

 

Through partnerships with organisations like Jessie’s Fund, the Music of Life choir, Open Theatre, and Freewheelin' wheelchair dancing, we ensure accessible, engaging artistic experiences that enhance communication, confidence, and self-expression. Our newly appointed Creative Arts Lead is collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to enrich the arts education across all pathways, fostering an inclusive, consistent approach that celebrates diversity and promotes personal growth for all learners.
